Prepaid Billing set to change via Android

We at Prepaid Earth believe that Project Android (or sometimes called Gphone), open source software platform will ensure that 4 key elements will enable the prepaid billing mechanism to change forever. While this is our view and opinion the more we think about it and discuss it with members of the Telco and IT sectors , the more it makes sense. The team at Prepaid Earth who provides the world with information on prepaid tariffs and plans for mobile, wireless and cellular as well as online recharge are certain that if Google and the founders of Open Handset Alliance are not able to alter todays prepaid charge and collection, the mere nature of open source development will bring about change in the prepaid billing mechanism through community based development.

4 Key Elements that will change the prepaid billing mechanism:

1.Google with other large tech companies will drive and accelerate open source software for mobile handsets.
2.Due to free software as well as economies of scale in terms of the production of hardware, more mobile phones will reach developing nations and the terminal distribution figures will grow enormously.
3.Due to the increase in mobile handsets purchasing and ownership, Google will be able to drive advertising to a far larger captive audience funded by advertiser dollars.
4.Google will fund free incoming and outgoing calls, text messages and data packets through advertising allowing Google to provide Android users with subsidized prepaid recharge credits.

It is most likely that prepaid starter kits will still need to be purchased in order for consumers to obtain mobile numbers and SIM cards, typical recharge will need to be altered where a users prepaid account should obtain prepaid credit based on revenue owing for advertisements received and delivered. The road ahead for prepaid is going to change, store and online recharge will need to be tailored to meet this new world driven by our friends at Google.
